Candidate Resources & Nomination Information

Prospective candidates are required to submit a candidate packet, which includes a Candidate Questionnaire, Background Information, information for union publications, a headshot, and nomination petition signatures.

Follow the steps below. All steps must be completed or your application will be considered incomplete.

Candidates must complete the Candidate Questionnaire along with the Candidate Background Information form. The digital form is encouraged, however paper versions can be submitted to any HGEA office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7.

Submit a digital headshot of yourself. If you need a photo, contact communications@hgea.org and we can arrange to have your photo taken in one of our island division offices.

After completing your online candidate application (Candidate Questionnaire, Information for Union Publications and Website, Candidate Background Information), download these materials, which you will submit at the end of the process.

Use the Nomination Signature Petition on pages 4 and 5 of the candidate packet to gather signatures of at least 15 active members.

Return all the signed forms to your local HGEA office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025. Emailed or online submissions are not allowed.
