How to Request a Ballot
Check your junk mail or spam folder.
The email, sent to your personal email address, would have come from “HGEA Ballot” or “invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com.”
After voting begins, send us a ballot request.
If you still can’t find the ballot email or you changed your personal email address, email requestballot@hgea.org and include the following information:
- Full legal name:
- Bargaining unit:
- Email address to which you want the ballot link sent:
- A preferred contact phone number (specify if it is cell, home, work, etc.):
- Department:
Only request a ballot after voting has started and if you have not received an electronic ballot in your email. If you are unsure about the voting timeline, refer to the HGEA eBlast or voting announcement materials before submitting a ballot request.
Requests must be received no later than two (2) hours before the electronic voting deadline.

The information provided will be used to determine your eligibility to vote. We will respond to you as soon as possible with your ballot link or a request for additional verification information, if needed.

After you’ve submitted your request, be sure to check and update your contact info on your member dashboard.
Ratification Voting Information
HGEA holds ratifications for its bargaining units’ collective bargaining agreements (“CBA” or “contract”) and other agreements such as memorandums of agreement (“MOA”), memorandums of understanding (“MOU”), and supplemental agreements (“SA”).
When HGEA reaches a tentative agreement with the employer, a ratification notice is sent to all affected members by email. For a collective bargaining agreement ratification, all employees in the bargaining unit, including non-members, are eligible to vote and voting is usually held both electronically and in person.
